Glass Elastic, so called because it looks like a pane of patterned glass

Glass Elastic is a special state of Elastic created by setting elasticCoefficient to 0.9 in the Parameters. It is much stiffer than the default Elastic material, and resists being moved quickly. It deforms locally rather than spreading force by bouncing away, the pattern indicates how it will behave.

Properties[]

Glass Elastic resists translational movements around the sandbox, requiring constant effort to keep it moving.

Since Glass Elastic resists movement, it tends to deform locally rather than the entire mass bending out of the way like normal. Different sections of Elastic display different stiffness, relative to the internal stress.

Glass Elastic also displays a highly unusual behavior where it prefers to align itself with gravity and fall so a certain face is down, almost creating a "north" and "south" pole behavior. Different internal configurations of stress cause a body of elastic to fall in different ways, from 2 poles to 4 poles to sliding sideways while falling.
